Hot new adventures are in store for BAT LADY

Believe
it or not, before this new paperback collection there has never been a
BAT LADY comic book published! So far Bat Lady has only appeared as a
“comic within a comic.” BAT LADY is actually an adaptation of a series
of vignettes from the Molly the Model comic strip. Molly the Model made
history in the early 21st Century as the first daily interactive comic
strip. It concerns the adventures of a teen that has recently moved to
New York City to follow her dreams. There she faced important issues as
she enters the sometimes frightening world of entertainment. Each week
Molly Marks and her friends would face some dilemma with a few options.
Readers would go on-line and vote their choice. After the votes are
tallied, the most popular decision would be incorporated into the
continuing storyline. Talk about democratic fiction!
One ongoing plot involved Molly being offered the job of portraying a
comic book heroine named Bat Lady at a comic convention. Should Molly
do it? Well, since the comic is interactive we found out that the
readers did want her to do it!
This collection showcases Molly’s trials and tribulations playing the
crimefighting Maiden of the Night and Molly’s “real-life” adventures
while wearing the costume. If you haven’t already read the strip,
you’ll also meet Nick Riddle, Molly’s photographer friend who got her
the job and has a crush on her (who wouldn’t?). Also prepare yourself
to be introduced to Molly’s nasty rival Maxine Paddington! As the strip
progressed Maxie got even more psychotic!
Molly the Model has been optioned as a live action interactive TV show
(even though the strip is currently in hiatus). There are also plans to
spin-off BAT LADY into film and (non-Molly) comic book series. What you
have here is the very first (and very collectible) BAT LADY release of
what is sure to be a future media blitz… and you are there!
